This controls the entire system depending on the contamination of the filter fleece. The water enters the container of the ROLLER CLEAN by gravity and flows through the filter fleece, which frees it from impurities. Over time, the filter fleece becomes clogged with dirt particles and thus reduces its filtering capacity. This causes the water level in the collection tank to rise until the water level sensor is activated, which commands the control system to turn the drum motor. The drum motor rolls up the dirty filter fleece so that a new, clean filter fleece is placed under the water flow. After this process, the water level drops again and the drum motor stops automatically. This cycle continues until there is no more filter fleece on the roll, which then needs to be replaced. Simple! Replacing the filter fleece roll is very simple: take the carrier cassette out of its receiving container, remove the dirty fleece roll from the cassette, replace it with a clean fleece roll and put everything back into the receiving container. Adjustment. Depending on how the level sensor is positioned in the carrier cassette, you can determine how often the filter fleece is wound up (the fleece is loaded more or less). The window. By opening the window on the left side of the carrier cassette, part of the water will no longer pass through the filter fleece. This setting is very important, because after a certain time of using the ROLLER CLEAN, the water could become too nutrient-poor and in this case not all the water should flow through the filter fleece. The density and structure of the ROLLER CLEAN filter fleece is specifically set to be used in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Therefore, the ROLLER CLEAN filter fleece also removes larger waste particles that can be a source of excess nitrates and high phosphate levels, but does not completely eliminate nitrogen and phosphorus compounds. Nor does the filter fleece remove salts and trace elements from the water, thus ensuring stable aquarium water parameters. The structure and density of the ROLLER CLEAN filter fleece allow a much higher water flow rate compared to some similar products. They also ensure that the fleece dries faster after the filtering process. The ROLLER CLEAN filter fleece does not affect the function of protein skimmers.
